About Us
Excel Safe Transitions is a specialist service providing safe, structured and therapeutically informed support for children and young people during transitions. Based in Stoke-on-Trent and operating nationally across the UK, we believe that transitions should be experienced as moments of predictability and support, not uncertainty and distress.
Delivered by Excel Escort Solutions Ltd, our service builds on extensive experience across residential children’s care, education and secure transition services. While transition services are not themselves regulated, our practice is intentionally aligned with the safeguarding, quality and regulatory standards applied across our homes and schools, ensuring consistency with wider statutory expectations.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that every transition is delivered with care, dignity and emotional safety.
We aim to reduce distress, prevent escalation and support regulation by embedding trauma-informed, relational and neuroaffirmative practice into every aspect of transition support. Through skilled practitioners, clear planning and strong governance, we seek to make movement itself a safer and more containing experience for children and young people.
Our Vision
Our vision is for transitions to be recognised as a meaningful part of a child’s care and support journey, rather than simply a logistical task.
We aspire to set a standard for safe and therapeutic transition practice that prioritises emotional safety alongside physical safety, supports positive experiences of care, and contributes to better outcomes for children and young people across services and systems.
