Our Practitioners

All transitions are facilitated by Safe Transitions Practitioners, experienced professionals chosen for their ability to work calmly, relationally, and safely with vulnerable children and young people.

Safer Recruitment

Practitioners are recruited through safer recruitment processes and are:

  • Enhanced DBS checked

  • Reference checked prior to engagement

  • Appropriately inducted, trained and supervised

​Training & Competence

Practitioners are trained in:

  • Trauma-informed and attachment-aware practice

  • BILD-accredited behaviour support and physical intervention

  • Low-arousal and de-escalation strategies

  • Safeguarding children and managing concerns and disclosures

  • First Aid

  • Health & Safety and emergency procedures

 

Training is reinforced through reflective supervision and ongoing learning.
